Adding Sections and Conditions

Section is a set of related questions grouped together. Adding sections provides a clear structure, making the questionnaire more organized and user-friendly for field workers.

Follow the below steps to set up a Section.

Step 1 : Login into your organisation's web portal.

Step 2 : Click on the Questionnaire tab on the navigation menu bar.

Step 3 : Click on the Add Section button at the end of the questionnaire.

Step 4 :You'll see a section like the below image appear.

Step 5 : Add section title and description in the section to the right.

Step 6 :Configure Text in different languages for a multi lingual questionnaire.

Step 7 : Add a unique tag to identify the section.

Step 8 :Click on the Save button to save changes to the section.


Conditions

Conditions within a section helps users to configure the visibility and repeating behaviour of the section

a. Repeating the Section

Steps to follow to set this up

Step 1 : Select the check box for "Repeating Section based on a condition"

Step 2 : Select the section and question on the basis of which you'd like the section repeated.

Step 3 : Click on Save to save conditions set.

b. Section Visibility

Sections can be made visible based on conditions. You can set up a dependency for a section to appear based on the response to a specific question above it.

Step 1 : Check the "Make section visible based on condition" checkbox

Step 2 : Click on the Add more button.

Step 3 : Setup visiblity conditions choosing the Section, Question and Answer on the basis of which you would like the section to be visible.

Step 4 : You can add more questions in the same way clicking the "Add More" button.

Step 5 : Click on the Save(💾) button.

Step 6 : Now go back to the previous screen. There you'll see the question you had selected under conditions.

Step 7 : Click on the conditions equation and select conditions you want to add to the condition equation.

  • Incase there are multiple conditions you can use the operators OR/AND to control the visibility of the section.

  • The condition equation follows the logical operations e.g. (1 OR 2) AND 3 here the section will be visible if question 1 or question 2 are true and question 3 is true.

  • Incase the equation setup is incorrect you can always verify it against the check mark against the equations. If its Red you know there is an issue with the equation.

Step 8 : Click on "Save" and continue adding Questions to the section.

Save each section immediately after making changes. Once all sections are complete, save the entire questionnaire as a draft.
