Understanding Locations

The Locations feature in the Resilience Connect web app defines adminstrative locations in the organizations country. The module captures States/Provices, District and blocks that the organization operates in.

It explains how to add and manage different locations, making them available for use throughout the organization by various users.

The Locations module in the Resilience Connect app enables users to define administrative locations critical for organizational operations.

These locations are structured hierarchically as

State/Province -> District -> Block fields.

We also have the ability to configure a district as a Source or Destination district.

Below is an overview of the fields and their configurations.

Key Fields in the Locations Module

1. State/Province : This field is a dropdown menu prepopulated with states or provinces configured during setup and linked to the organization's country.

2. District : This field lists districts corresponding to the selected State/Province, populated from the organization-linked database.

3. Block : This field allows users to specify localized areas within the selected State and District. Unlike the State/Province and District fields, the Block field requires manual entry.

4. Status: A checkbox that determines whether a block is active or inactive. Checking this box marks the location as active and makes it available for use in the system.

Searching and Refining Locations

The Search Locations feature allows users to quickly find locations by name and refine results using category filters.

Basic Search Steps

1. Navigate to the Locations module from the navigation menu.

2. Enter the State/Province, District, or Block name in the search bar at the top left.

3. Press Enter or click the Search button.

4. View search results displaying locations matching the entered criteria.

Refined Search Using Filters

1. After a basic search, locate the filter options below the search bar.

2. Select filters from the following categories:

   • State/Province: Narrow results to entries linked to a specific state or province.

   • District: Filter results by district.

   • Block: Further refine results by selecting a block within a district.

3. Apply the filters and press Enter.

4. The results will refresh to display only those matching the selected filters.

Note: Organizations can only add blocks but not States/Provices or Districts, these come pre-populated based on the organization's country selection during setup.
